Brand Overview:

Daisy Brand is seeking a Brand Marketing Specialist to support our Daisy Cottage Cheese business.  This role will report to the Brand Manager in Dallas, Texas.  Daisy, a family-owned company, is the market leader in the $1 billion Sour Cream category, as well as the only national brand of Cottage Cheese. This exciting role will provide support across all marketing activities including brand planning, strategy development & execution, and business analytics.  
 

Position Overview:

The Brand Marketing Specialist plays a key role in aiding and collaborating with the Brand Manager in crafting the strategic direction of the brand.  You will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the category and develop fact-based strategic recommendations that will drive business growth. The position requires you to develop an understanding of the target consumer and customer landscape, based on your analytical skills, project management expertise, leadership, and strategic & creative thinking.  The Brand Marketing Specialist will have direct interaction and collaboration cross-departmentally including Sales, Operations, and Finance, as well as with outside agencies and vendors.  This position will be involved in advertising, branding, communications strategy, and analytics.  Direct responsibilities include:
 

Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Aid in developing and executing strategy to grow brand awareness, and brand affinity through comprehensive Marketing campaigns
  • Lead the execution of day-to-day operational activities including budgeting, coupon programs, sales support programs, monthly performance reports, and competitive reports
  • Collaborate with Consumer Insights to develop understanding and strategy of how to grow market share
  • Data driven business analysis and support
  • Collaborate with external agency leadership
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Technical Services
  • B2B Marketing and sales support through presentation development and analysis

  • Verbal and written communication – communicates well with peers, cross-functional teams, management and outside vendors.

Experience/Qualifications: 

  • 4-year Marketing or Business Management degree required. 
  • Minimum 3 years brand marketing or brand advertising experience required; CPG and/or foods experience a plus.
  • Ideal candidate has passion for brand-building.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Syndicated data analysis (e.g. AC Nielsen, IRI) experience a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to work in team environment  
  • Candidate should have experience in project management and execution.
  • Candidate must demonstrate initiative and have the ability to handle multiple assignments and competing priorities in a timely manner.
  • Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Windows applications.
