Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable employee to join our education community who meets the following criteria:

  • Is a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity in academic and leadership abilities that will enable them to teach God’s truth and be active in their local Christian church whose beliefs are in alignment with TCA’s Mission Statement and growing in their personal walk with Christ
  • Exhibits the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model (1 Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school (Luke 6:40)
  • Has a passion for their areas of specialty, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
  • Welcomes the opportunity to disciple and mentor students, helping develop godly character in their lives

Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be our Middle School Pom Assistant Coach. TCA’s Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life-giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As a coach at TCA you will not only help student athletes improve their athletic ability, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col. 3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.

Qualifications

  • A strong commitment to the positive development of the Pom program at TCA
  • Ability to instill teamwork and community within a group of girls pointing them to Christ
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with middle school girls in Pom team
  • Ability to build a good rapport with students and parents
  • Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values

General Responsibilities

  • Attend dance team practices during the Fall and Winter seasons
  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and organizing practices
  • Assist the Head Coach in planning warm-up, conditioning drills for practice
  • Assist the Head Coach in choreographing and teaching routines
  • Assist the Head Coach in choosing and approving music for routines
  • Attend all dance team performances
  • Assist in documenting and planning weekly Biblical character lessons
  • Attend all Middle School home football games with the team
  • Assist with fittings and ordering for all dance team wear
  • Assist Director with dance team tryouts and parent meetings
  • Attend Summer line camp at the school and any other summer practice
  • Assist with management of miscellaneous items 
  • Assist in organization and presentation of parent meetings
  • Coordinate with the head coach to communicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.)

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements

  • Regularly works inside but some outdoor time might be required
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull items
  • Ability to demonstrate dance moves and drills
  • Early mornings and late nights required
