We are looking for a dedicated teacher and Christ follower to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra I to our 7th and 8th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Middle School Math teacher you will help deepen your students' understanding that all math reveals God's sovereignty, infinity and perfect wisdom.
General Responsibilities
- Full-time teaching load – Four (4) classes and daily tutoring sessions
- Responsible to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra I
- Grade and record all applicable assignments and assessments
- Work cohesively with other members of the TCA Math department
- Build a good rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work, and interactions with colleagues and others
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Degree in Mathematics or BS in Secondary Education degree with a Mathematics emphasis
- 7th-12th grade or Secondary Math Certification preferred, but not required
- Experience in teaching Mathematics is strongly preferred
- Experience in teaching Middle School students is preferred, but not required
- Ability to effectively interact with students, parents and colleagues
- Have a willing heart for service (Ephesians 6:7)
- Agree with and support TCA’s Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
- Normal physical demands of teaching (including, but not limited to, standing, reaching, stooping, squatting down, kneeling, and occasional lifting)
- Must be able to give, receive and analyze information, prepare written materials and input information into a computer
- Must be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, students and parents, answering questions in a professional and friendly manner
- Strong communication skills required
