Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable employee to join our education community who meets the following criteria:

  • Is a born-again Christian with spiritual maturity in academic and leadership abilities that will enable them to teach God’s truth and be active in their local Christian church whose beliefs are in alignment with TCA’s Mission Statement and growing in their personal walk with Christ
  • Exhibits the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as a Christian role model (1 Timothy 4:12) both in and out of school (Luke 6:40)
  • Has a passion for their areas of specialty, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents
  • Welcomes the opportunity to disciple and mentor students, helping develop godly character in their lives

Qualifications

Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced and energetic part-time Lower School Teaching Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year.

General Responsibilities

  • Assist the main teacher in the classroom
  • Responsible for classroom and calendar management on non-curriculum matters
  • Score assignments, quizzes and tests
  • Manage and maintain grade book
  • Hands on work with the students in the classroom as well as transfers across campus
  • Assist with recess and lunchroom duties
  • Demonstrate the fruits of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) in daily work and interactions with students and colleagues

Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science is required, preferably in Elementary Education or related field
  • Experience working with Lower School children is strongly preferred
  • Fully in line with TCA's Christian values and Biblical Statements and Policies
  • Have a willing heart for service (Ephesians 6:7)

  • Problem solving skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, students and parents, answering questions in a professional and friendly manner

Start Date: August 2024
Hours: Part-time, 7:45-1:00 Monday-Friday
