Reporting to the VP of Production, the Manager of Project Management is responsible for mentoring and managing a team of project managers while guiding business wide projects from inception to delivery by partnering with Art, Design, Engineering, Publishing, IT and other internal teams. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day activity of the project management team, you will develop, implement, and train the Project Management and Production teams on new processes and best practices that can be leveraged across the entire company.  


Essential Functions:

  • Oversee and mentor project managers to ensure all deliverables meet required deadlines, budgets, and quality standards across a portfolio of projects
  • Ensure project managers’ development and continued successful performance by providing mentoring and monitoring the progress of their assigned projects
  • Partner with leadership, production, and discipline leads to develop strategic organizational roadmaps
  • Drive execution of highly complex projects spanning multiple functions and departments from conception to rollout
  • Provide project status reports and executive summaries to the leadership team and key stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise, knowledge of project management best practices and focus on business value when developing plans for managing risk and process improvement
  • Formalize and document project management processes including roles and responsibilities
  • Manages geographically distributed third-party vendors and off-shore development teams


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of program and/or product management experience ideally in a software development or technical environment
  • 2+ years experience as a Lead or Manager mentoring and managing direct reports 
  • Experience managing company wide projects/programs across disciplines and various levels of stakeholders
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders across multiple technical and non-technical business units
  • Previously managed at multi-million dollar projects/programs from kick-off to completion 
  • Ability to align efforts of varying groups to achieve a common goal
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive problem solver and team contributor
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
