The TCA Foundation is seeking a dedicated team member and Christ follower to serve as an Events and Advancement Coordinator. We believe investing in the lives of children is an internal investment. (Matt. 6:19-21) This position will coordinate TCA Foundation events and assist with advancement and alumni operations and strategies.
General Responsibilities
- Events
- Coordinate TCA Foundation events including:
- Fundraising events
- Capital Campaign events
- Donor engagement events
- Community events
- Alumni events
- Source event components, venues and vendors
- Facilitate plans and processes to meet event timeline, production schedule and budget
- Assist with development and execution of event marketing plans
- Assist in managing event registration and payment process
- Assist with securing event sponsorships
- Recruit and coordinate event volunteers
- Track event expenses and coordinate post-event budget reports
- Attend facility meetings for on-campus events
- Participate in post-event meetings and create post-event reports
- Advancement
- Assist with advancement operations
- Assist with fundraising grants
- Assist with donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship (1 Pet. 2:17, 1 Cor. 4:2)
- Alumni
- Develop content and manage TCA alumni social media platforms
- Assist with alumni engagement activities (1 Peter4:8)
- Administrative and other duties
- Complete monthly expense report
- Participate in advancement staff meetings and team initiatives
- Contribute toward TCA Foundation objectives and goals
Skills
- Computer
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required
- Blackbaud Raiser's Edge experience preferred
- Social media
- Familiar with social media platforms
- Create written content, coordinate images, post and track
- Accounting
- Develop, track and meet objectives within budget requirements
- Communication (verbal and written)
- Strong writing skills required
- Effectively collaborate with internal departments, vendors and constituents
- Demonstrate discernment and sensitivity with confidential information
- Leadership
- Assist in recruitment of event volunteers
- Ability to delegate tasks and coordinate volunteer activities
- Planning and organization
- Oversee multiple tasks, maintain priorities and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve effective outcomes
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in planning and executing special events required
- Non-profit advancement/fundraising experience required
- Social media account management experience preferred
- Organized, detailed and deadline oriented, flexible and collaborative
- Familiarity with TCA community and school policies preferred
- Agree with and support TCA's Doctrinal, Biblical and Mission statements and Christian values
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
- Normal physical demands of event planning and event set up including (but not limited to) standing, carrying, loading/unloading and lifting
- Moving between buildings on campus
- Work hours may vary depending on event
- Additional hours prior to, during and after events, including evenings and weekends may be required
Job Details
Position: Events and Advancement Coordinator
Department: TCA Foundation
Reports To: Director of Campaigns
Contract: Full-time (40 hours/week), 10 months (Mid-August through Mid-June)
Salary: Commensurate with experience
