Middle School Football Assistant Coach

Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable employee to join our education community who meets the following criteria:

• Has a passion for their areas of specialty, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with students and parents

We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be a Middle School Football Assistant Coach for the 2023-2024 school year. TCA’s Athletic Department utilizes sports and competition to teach transformational, life giving biblical truths to each student-athlete. As an assistant coach you will not only help student athletes improve their football skills, you will remind them of the importance of academics, instill a Christian work ethic (Col. 3:23) and help strengthen their faith in Christ.

General Responsibilities

• Attend football practices during the regular season
• Plan and organize practices
• Plan warm-up, conditioning, football drills for practice
• Attend pep rally when Middle School football team is recognized
• Document and help plan weekly Biblical character lessons (Mark 12:30)
• Attend all Middle School football games
• Assist with ordering for all football uniforms
• Manage miscellaneous items
• Attend parent meetings
• Communicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.)
• Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletes

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to the positive development of the football program at TCA
• Ability to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with middle school athletes in football
• Knowledge of the sport of football
• Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents
• Fully in line with TCA's Christian values and Biblical Statements and Policies

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements

• Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run
• Normal physical demands of coaching
• Night hours required
