Job Purpose: The Charge Posting Specialist is a key member of the CBO Team and clinic operations. This position is responsible for reviewing charges entered by our providers and creating claims. The role also includes reviewing schedules, working self-pay worklists, and healthcare claim follow up. The position is mainly located within our clinics but may also work within the Central Billing Office depending on staffing requirements.
Essential Functions: (Examples of Duties)
- Creating ambulatory claims (Office visits, EKGs, labs, etc.)
- Reviewing charts and charges documented by clinician
- Insurance denials management, scheduling review, & other business office functions as needed.
- Answer patients calls and resolve their inquiries over the phone
- Other Duties as assigned
