Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated teacher and Christ follower to teach one of our first-grade classes

General Responsibilities

  • Full-time teaching load for First-grade Teacher
  • Ability to build a good report with students
  • Work cohesively and collaborate with other members of the First-grade Teaching Team
  • Teach academics along with personal, social and emotional skills
  • Utilize a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate the student's learning experience
  • Assess student's performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills taught on a regular basis
  • Stay abreast of best practices in teaching First-grade students

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field
  • Experience in teaching lower school is required
  • Experience in teaching First-grade students is strongly preferred
  • Create a classroom environment that fosters growth and learning

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements

  • Normal physical demands of teaching 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strategic thinker and planner
  • Problem Solving Skills

Position: First-grade Teacher
Department: Lower School
Reports To: Head of Lower School
Start Date: August 2023
Hours: Full Time - 10 months
Salary: Commensurate with experience
