Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Facilities/Maintenance Assistant Manager to help support facilities on 40-acre+ campus with over 300 employees/1470 students.
General Responsibilities
- Assist coordinating a large number of on-site independent contractors and vendors to ensure repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner for the following systems:
- mechanical systems
- life safety system
- access system
- surveillance video system
- doors and locking system
- building envelope repairs
- fleet maintenance
- Provide prompt and courteous service in execution of work order requests from faculty and staff
- Assist with maintenance operations and facility services to ensure reliable operations, preservation of equipment and repair and preventative maintenance of all facility components
- Oversee the repairs and maintenance of exterior waterproofing, including roof and windows repairs
- Assist with campus utility interruptions
- Oversee project manager’s operation of the elevator system, repairs and annual inspections
- Oversee operation of the fire alarms, fire sprinklers and fire suppression systems, repairs and annual/ bi-annual inspections
- Assist with operation of video surveillance, video door bell and access management systems; maintain functionality and modification
- Oversee HVAC project manager, HVAC systems, repairs, installation and diagnosis
- Oversee operation and repairs of kitchen equipment
- Assist with implementing, restoring, and providing a safe environment during campus emergencies such as lock downs or severe weather damage
- Complete Maintenance Direct SchoolDude requests
- Troubleshoot and assist with repairs arising from issues with the systems and other building concerns
- Assist with the department’s administrative responsibilities, including shipping-receiving management, LobbyGuard, Campus Optimizer, HVAC control, fire drills, etc.
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required
- 3-5 years’ experience in the facilities profession handling a wide range facilities tasks
- Excellent computer and systems knowledge; strong literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with SchoolDude preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods and practices that are involved in building and grounds maintenance and repair, including but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical and painting
- Team player
- Willing to learn unfamiliar systems
- Proficient in working collaboratively with several departments to execute tasks under tight deadlines, demonstrating sound relationship management skills both within and outside of TCA
- Conscious about maintaining a safe work environment
- Proficient in the operation of domestic water system (including kitchens, restrooms, common areas and outdoors)
- Proficient in the operation of sanitary sewer systems
- Ability to understand and read blueprints drawings preferred
- Proficient in the operation of electrical systems, including utilities feeds, panel location and main buildings disconnect
- Strong work ethic
- Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic environment
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift /carry up to 50 lb. deliveries / boxes /furniture
- Required to work after-hours and holidays for emergencies response, planned maintenance and construction projects
- Comfortable standing and/or walking for long periods of time
- Strict adherence to TCA’s Mission Statement and Biblical worldview
