The Chief Financial Officer reports to the Head of School and is responsible for all financial matters for TCA. The overriding responsibility is to ensure the highest level of stewardship for TCAs financial resources and to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to financial and employee matters. This position also works directly with the respective boards of Trinity Christian Academy (TCA), the TCA Foundation (TCAF) and Trojan Real Properties (TRP), as well as the Finance Committee of the TCA Board of Trustees and the Investment Committee and Audit Committee of the TCA Foundation.
Overall Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for financial stewardship of TCA, TCAF and TRP
- Reporting of all financial and business matters to the TCA Board of Trustees and other respective boards, as necessary
- Assists the Head of School in all financial issues as necessary
- Administrative and financial responsibility for the Boards of Directors of TCAF and TRP
- Leadership and management responsibility for the Business Office staff, TCA Clinic staff, Safety and Security Staff, Sage Dining and Facilities staff
- Responsibility for Student Tuition Aid process
- Responsibility for annual student re-enrollment
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant or Finance background
- Non-profit experience preferred
- Kind, pleasant, effective communicator willing to serve many
- Organized and gifted at attention to detail
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fully in line with TCA's Christian values and statement of faith
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to give, receive and analyze information, prepare written materials and input information into a computer
- Must be able to effectively communicated with colleagues, parents and Board members answering questions in a professional and friendly manner
