We are looking for a dedicated coach and Christ follower to be our 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach for the 2022-2023 school year.
General Responsibilities
- Attend basketball practices during the season
- Plan and organize practices
- Plan warm-up, conditioning, basketball drills for practice
- Attend pep rally when the 7th Grade Boys Basketball team is recognized
- Help document and plan weekly biblical character lessons with Team Chaplain
- Attend all 7th Grade Boys Basketball games
- Assist with ordering for all basketball uniforms
- Assist with basketball tryouts
- Manage miscellaneous items
- Assist in organizing and leading parent meetings
- Communicate with parents on a weekly basis (scheduling, updates etc.)
- Ability to motivate and improve performance of athletes
Qualifications
- A strong commitment to the positive development of the basketball program at TCA
- Ability to instill teamwork and community within a group of athletes pointing them to Christ
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with upper school athletes in basketball
- Knowledge of the sport of basketball
- Ability to build a good rapport with student and parents
- Fully in line with TCA's Christian values and statement of faith
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
- Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, jump and run
