Trinity Christian Academy is looking for a Visual Arts Department Part-time Aide for the 2022/23 school year. 

General Responsibilities

• Assist the Art Department Head in administrative duties
• Liaison between admin, maintenance, and technology offices for the Art Department
• Purchasing point person for PreK - 12 art supplies
• Create art kits at the beginning of the year for the various art classes
• Weekly posting on TCA’s social media outlets on behalf of the Art Department
• Manage Art Wear sales and distribution of items
• Maintain and organize matting room, storage closet, hallways, and Art Office common areas
• Help with student artwork for competitions, including driving work to competitions (4-5 per year)
• Help to coordinate and organize the Art-A Que and other fun activities twice a year
• Help to coordinate and organize Christmas celebrations for Art classes
• Available to help cover an Art teachers’ class upon absence or in an emergency
• Available for Friday afternoon Art Department meetings 2:00-3:30 (1x per month)

Lower School

• Aide in various Lower School Art classrooms as needed by teachers
• Aide in the hanging of artwork in the Lower School building throughout the year

Middle School

• Aide in Middle School Art classrooms as needed by teachers as a helper
• Aide in helping to load and unload kilns

Upper School

• Help coordinate and secure reservations for the AP Art Trip in November
• Help coordinate, secure reservations, and obtain supplies for the annual Art Retreat in March

TAG Gallery

• Assist director in coordinating with artists in the TAG Gallery
• Help hand and assist in exhibition preparations
• Coordinate TAG Art receptions

• The ability to work well with multiple age levels from 4 years to adults

• A friendly disposition who is both creative and enthusiastic
• Self-motivated with the ability to initiate ideas
• Strong organization and management skills
• Knowledge of art and craft materials with some art experience is desirable
• Good physical stamina is mandatory
• Can handle physical work with much lifting, bending  and moving between buildings

Required Education, Experience and Qualifications

• BA or BFA in Studio Art
• Self-motivated with the ability to initiate projects and ideas
• Strong organization and management skills
