JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for generating accurate estimates for the repair of material handling equipment for our customers, technicians, and sales team.  Serve as a point of contact on pending quotes for both the sales team and customer.  The Quotes Coordinator follows up in a timely manner to meet our customer’s expectation and internal turnaround times.  This opportunity represents Shoppa’s Material Handling and requires professionalism, great attitude, good communication skills and outstanding customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receive, prioritize, prepare, and submit repair estimates to external and internal customers upon request.  Calculate parts and labor as needed for all estimates. 
• Communicate effectively with customers on items including quote status and the specifics of the quoted repair.
• Create the best possible customer experience by communicating relevant details in a clear and efficient manner.
• Maintain customer rapport by delivering estimates in a considerate manner and being prepared for follow up questions and concerns.
• Ensure quality customer service by verifying warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing available records.
• Take prompt and appropriate action upon receiving quote approval or quote decline.
• Process quote approvals and prepare work orders for the work to be completed.
• Work closely with the parts department to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner consistent with the customer’s expectations.
• Communicate quote status and quote approval effectively to the service advisors and sales team.
• Review and communicate parts availability to ensure customers are properly informed and updated about their pending repair.
• Review internal and customer supplied documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Keep detailed records of all completed activities.
• All other duties & special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma: College degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the material handling, heavy equipment, or automotive industry.
• Experience in generating quotes preferred.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer is a plus.
• Additional parts or forklift experience is a plus.
• Positive attitude and well-groomed appearance required.
• Excellent customer service follow-up and resolution skills required.

Working Conditions:  Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
