Description

Summary: To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment.

Essential Functions:

  1. Have a thorough understanding of ZaZa fire alarm procedures and other safety procedures.
  2. Have a thorough understanding of ZaZa Hotel rules and regulations.
  3. Maintain all public areas and guestrooms on an on-going basis (corner guards, locks, windows, doors, furniture.)
  4. Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
  5. Clean all work areas after completing job.
  6. Fill out daily work form.
  7. Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.
  8. Maintain all electrical equipment throughout the property.
  9. Receive direction from engineering management on daily work assignments according to hotel needs.
  10. Set up electrical exhibits.
  11. Maintain all the refrigeration equipment in the building.
  12. Maintain all HVAC equipment in the building (guestrooms, public areas, function rooms)
  13. Maintain (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.
  14. Use courteous conduct with all guest encounters and complete maintenance requests to the total satisfaction for the guest.

Tools and Equipment:

  1. Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, basic computer skills

Working Environment:

  1. Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  2. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  3. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

  • Reach with hands and arms;
  • Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
  • Talk or hear and taste or smell;
  • Sitting;
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds;
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job to see, read, write, and use a computer
  • Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
