Description

Summary: To assist servers in any way possible to ensure proper, prompt and courteous service to all guests.

Essential Functions:

  1. Station set-up
  2. Stock needed supplies in side stands.
  3. Clean-up of coffee machines and prepared coffee.
  4. Set-up tea station.
  5. Get ice supply.
  6. Dust all tables to include table legs.
  7. Receive rolls and put in warmers.
  8. Put milk in refrigerators and set-up creamers.
  9. Pre-set breadbaskets lined with napkins.
  10. Pick-up linen.
  11. Check off and pick-up storeroom supplies.
  12. Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver and glassware.
  13. Set up ashtrays with logo matches on each table.
  14. Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.
  15. Assist servers during meal period.
  16. Remove any extra settings.
  17. Pour water.
  18. Serve rolls and butter as specified.
  19. Adhere to grooming guidelines, wear Z-pin, proper uniform standards.
  20. Complete required Z certification for New hires (30 days) and recertification as required.
  21. Follow all proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed.

Tools and Equipment:

  1. Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine

Working Environment:

  1. Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
  2. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  3. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
  4. Exposure to food items and beverages.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand;
  • Walk;
  • Use hands to handle, or feel;
  • Reach with hands and arms;
  • Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
  • Talk or hear and taste or smell;
  • Sitting;
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; able to push and pull objects
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job to see, read, write, and use a computer
  • Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
