Description

Summary: To direct all security functions in the hotel ensuring a safe and secure operation during the shift.

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensures all Safety and Security standards are properly followed.
  2. Ensures the proper quality of hotel service and products at night while providing the logistical and physical support as needed to all departments.
  3. Reports all observed hotel property deficiencies and safety hazards.
  4. Helps provide support to department heads as needed to ensure the proper conduct and supervision of staff in the department manager’s absence.
  5. Reports all observed violation of hotel rules, law and standards of operation at night.

Tools and Equipment:

  1. Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, computer and printer file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine, housekeeping products and equipment as needed.
  2. Camera, first aid equipment, 2 way radio

Working Environment:

  1. Interior of hotel, in all areas with exposure to extreme temperatures.
  2. Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
  3. Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand;

  • Reach with hands and arms;
  • Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
  • Talk or hear and taste or smell;
  • Sitting;
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; ability to push and pull
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job to see, read, write, and use a computer
  • Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
