Description

OVERVIEW: The Media Acquisition Coordinator will utilize existing contacts and build new content provider relationships to enhance our TV and movie image coverage and ensure that all Red Bee Media's image inventory and image requirements are met.  Using reports, departmental projects, and Red Bee initiatives, they will acquire the most up-to-date and complete TV and movie program related media information to meet the needs of Red Bee and its clients.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Identify missing images using internal reporting and station audits. 
  • Continually reach out to existing contacts to acquire missing image content. 
  • Proactively seek out new points of contact for image content. 
  • Identify and acquire new press resources for new and existing sources. 
  • Coordinate acquired imagery with team members for processing. 
  • Assist with client centric and needs based project workflows. 
  • Coordinate with the Head of Media to regularly maintain provider contact information for media resources. 
  • Store, map, and attribute any newly acquired media content images as needed. 
  • Maintain documents and report on projects, directives, and assignments through requests of the Head of Media. 
  • Provide daily Media Logs and individual project tracking numbers to the Head of Media.  
  • Notify the Head of Media of any issues or setbacks regarding workflow or assignment completion to ensure that any problems can be managed in a timely manner. 
  • Handle any projects designed to enhance Red Bee Media’s image database for specific clients’ needs. 
  • Follow and remain current with all departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Demonstrate and maintain the ability to work with daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines and goals. 
  • Follow and remain current with all Red Bee Media’s company policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain a complete and up-to-date knowledge of the Red Bee Media Content Discovery Media Manager and a general knowledge of the Red Bee Media Content Discovery Metadata Management Platform (CD MMP). 
  • Apply critical thinking to determine any programming issues that may affect your duties and forward any issues to the Head of Media.
