Restaurant Manager - DFW Locations

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Actively attend to every station in the store to ensure each venue is staffed, goods are in stock and merchandised correctly, the facility and premises are clean and well organized, all equipment throughout the store is functioning properly.
• Work in any venue, e.g. salad/sandwich station, POS registers, chef case, on an as needed basis.
• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, coach, and evaluate team members to meet service and performance standards.
• Ensure a positive guest interaction by resolving customer issues, complaints and feedback in a courteous and timely manner.
• Manage inventory and order food, beverage, and supply items by following the fiscal targets set by senior management. Track and manage waste and spoilage to control and minimize food cost. 
• Maintain safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health department requirements, frequently inspecting areas of the market to ensure staff compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial and operational records (e.g. sales reports, payroll, cash handling, labor scheduling).

Marginal Functions:

• Be results-oriented and able to execute the operational strategy of the market.
• Investigate and report employee issues to the GM and resolve task related conflicts.
• Occasional local travel may be required to pick up/deliver goods. 
• Occasionally make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment, building and grounds.   
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the GM.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in high-profile restaurants, hotels, and/or resorts
• Proven experience in managing food, labor, and budgeting functions.
•   Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to obtain Food Handlers certification and TABC certification.
• Well-organized, with proven ability to meet timelines and show results through initiatives.  
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.  
• Possess strong leadership skills with an ability to build and lead a team to achieve targeted goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Positive, optimistic, enthusiastic and self-confident attitude. Operates calmly and proactively in stressful and difficult situations. 
• Communicates and interacts professionally and respectfully with all individuals in the organization.

OTHER:

Work Environment/ADA Statement:

• While performing duties, managers will work around hot food and beverage stations.
• Some areas of the market include narrow walkways and employees must maneuver these spaces carefully.
•  Floors at times may be slippery and non-slip shoes are required.
• Managers must use knives and meat slicers with skill and care.
• Managers must retrieve goods from high and low shelves.
• Managers must retrieve goods from commercial freezers.
• Managers will serve foods at a standing level and reaching over a high counter.

Physical Requirements:

•  Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. 
•  Must be able to remain in a standing position for extended periods over a 10-hour daily shift
• Must be able to frequently move throughout the market, including walking, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, twisting, kneeling, grasping/squeezing and climbing ladders without assistance for extended periods over a 10-hour daily shift.
• Ability to physically work in each station depending on where help is needed.
