Position Summary: 

The I.T. Help Desk Technician functions as a primary point of contact for Information Technology Help Desk needs. Good customer service, communication, triage and problem follow-up skills are essential. This position is also responsible for several specific areas, including PC desktop/laptop and peripheral equipment, user login management, door access control, employee phones, networked printer/fax/copy/scanners. This position is one of a five person I.T. team that supports all aspects of the medical group’s technology solution needs. Essential Functions: 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for I.T. Help Desk. Respond to support needs via phone, in-person or remote. Diagnose and resolve technical hardware & software issues or assign them to other team members. 
  • Deploy and support end user computing hardware and software including Windows OS, chrome OS, tablets, smartphones and other various software applications. 
  • Deploy and support computing peripherals such as network printers, scanners, fax, card readers, cameras. 
  • Manage and deploy updated Windows OS images with essential applications like antivirus, printers, security updates, application software, system management tools.
  • Setup and maintain user account logins to various applications.
  • Support door access control system. 
  • Maintain security surveillance cameras. 
  • Support 3CX desk phones and softphones and voice mail settings. 
  • Solve patient portal or smart phone app issues with patients.
  • Be capable of occasional Cat 6 data cabling. Communicate with external vendor support personnel as needed.
  • Make recommendations for improvement or where problem prevention opportunities are noticed. 
  • There is a strong I.T. teamwork in supporting the overall technology needs of Premier Medical Group. Be a good team member.
  • Special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience: 

Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology related field or equivalent certifications.

 Experience: 2+ years related experience, or formal education, or PC hardware/networking certifications. 

Knowledge/Abilities: Chromebooks, Google Workspace, PC hardware, Windows OS imaging, Antivirus, IP network fundamentals, network printing, good problem solver, good communications ability with excellent customer service skills, strong team player.
