Mortgage Loan Originator

POSITION PURPOSE

Stays abreast of mortgage loan trends and developments. Remains well-connected to other financial institutions, lenders, and advisors. Assists members in realizing and meeting their financial goals by responsibly advising them throughout the mortgage loan process, from application to closing. Identifies member needs, meets loan production goals, and works to ensure member satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meets with mortgage loan borrowers on the phone and in person, advising and guiding them throughout the entire loan process.
2. Reviews financial information from all relevant parties.
3. Originates and evaluates mortgage loans according to company guidelines and standards.
4. Submits and monitors the status of applications.
5. Maintains good relationships with members by keeping them informed.
6. Interacts with realtors and sales agents as needed.
7. Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. State licensure
2. Track record of successfully originating various types of mortgage loans
3. Experience in mortgage banking, financial advisory services, or mortgage consulting
4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and sales skills
5. Knowledge of loan origination and servicing software
6. Ability to maintain compliance with financial and lending practices.
