Route Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

The Cashier position is responsible for the daily reconciliation (check-in) of the KEG 1 delivery routes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Route Reconciliation – Deposit Totals – recount checks, coin and cash and ensure driver total is accurate. To preserve security, reconciliation should occur with one driver at a time.
• Verify the register report checking for the accuracy of the driver assignment, proper balancing, and inventory variances. Process daily sales reports via route accounting system.
• Complete, and verify, daily bank deposit and encode checks.
• Process driver handheld computer transmissions in a timely manner.
• Distribute reports and/or messages to drivers, as requested.
• Prepare required daily reports for Accounting.
• Enter manual orders, as needed, for the next day.

This position works Monday – Friday, 10:00am- 6:30pm.

• 2 years of Accounts Receivable or equivalent experience, preferred
• 1 to 2 years work experience in an accounting environment, preferred
• Outstanding computer skills, with exceptional data entry (10-key by touch and alpha-numeric) skills
• Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications and computer programs
• Strong analytical skills
