Description

Currently we have a Tech I on (extended FMLA) and will be losing a Tech II in the division.  Requesting to backfill open positions for continued support of Central Texas Division. This request is within the 2025 budget allotment for support of Central Texas, and no additional cost will be required. The need has been discussed with CIO Patric Edmondson, and he is in alignment.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular fields.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager.
  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to our offices within and outside of DFW Metroplex.

Education: An Associates Degree or equivalent and 4 + years of experience in the IT or related field.

Experience: 4 + years of IT, or related field, experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Required certification in A+, with additional certification required in at least one of the following: Network +, Security +, MCP, CCENT, or VCP. Even without VCP, a basic understanding of VMWare is preferred.

Requirements for Level II Status:

  • Intermediate experience (4+ years experience) and/or acting more independently.
  • Takes on some additional duties to assist the office.
  • Strong and consistent performer.

Performance Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient technical (computer) skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with initiative.
  • Strong sense of ethics.
  • Ability to travel to office locations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds including carrying this amount of weight up flights of stairs.
