Qualifications

Purpose:

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of all lobby operations personnel including Tellers and Financial Service Reps.  The branch deposit operations supervisor will also perform the duties of bank tellers, new accounts personnel and administrative assistant.  Employees are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient and accurate transaction processing.

 

Education:

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
Previous banking experience required

Prefer previous supervisory experience

 

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of business and management skills involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Responsible for training of staff, new hires and ongoing training for staff
  • Excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy
  • Competent with computers, telephone, 10-key and other office machinery
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed
  • Ability to make sound decisions.  This may include making on the spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the Bank's risk.
  • Ability to think through and rationalize decisions
  • Familiar with banking regulations, new account duties and responsibilities, loan administrative assistant duties and responsibilities, and teller roles and responsibilities
  • English language knowledge.  Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
