Description

Essential Job Functions:
•    Proficient in warehouse management of bulk commodities. 
•    Maintain inventory program and record keeping of all commodities and supplies. 
•    Understand and follow all state and federal product laws governed by OSHA, USDA, TDA, TCEQ, and FGIS.
•    Oversee/assist in large-scale facility projects involving multiple vendors.
•    Conducts safety meetings with operations team and contractors.
•    Supervise and assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or rail cars
•    Build and maintain relationships with farmers, truck drivers, merchandising team, and others
•    Operates the companies accounting system.
•    Creates and implement the daily work schedules for the employees. 
•    Responsible for recruiting and staffing asset labor
•    Responsible for reporting all injuries and understanding workman’s compensation procedures
 

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements 
Education and Experience: 
•    Prior experience in the agricultural industry with a focus on product commodities preferred. 
•    Prior work in assets required.

Qualifications and Skills:
•    Troubleshooting/Problem solving experience
•    Good people skills
•    Mechanical, electrical leadership
•    Job hazard analysis and safety compliance
•    Computer proficiency (Microsoft office, email, etc.)
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Report writing
•    Ability to train others

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • 4 years college degree in agricultural field or study

Physical Requirements:
•    Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.  Regularly required to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
•    Must be able to climb ladders and in, on, and around product commodities.
•    Must enter confined spaces and/or spaces of limited mobility
•    Must work at heights up to 200 feet, below grade, and confined spaces with limited mobility.
•    Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
•    Working conditions include but are not limited to exposure to certain commodities including corn, milo, and wheat and their dust.
•    Requires exposure to extreme heat, cold, humidity, and other inclement weather conditions.

•   Required to wear common protective safety equipment as required by the company’s safety policies.
